Company Acknowledged for Transforming its Claims Processing System with Process Director

San Diego, CA – January 17, 2017
–– BP Logix, provider of BPM software and workflow software solutions with rapid application development technology, today announced that its customer, Pethealth Insurance, Inc., has been selected as a finalist for  the 2017 Process Excellence (PEX) Network Awards. Recognized for exceptional process excellence in the ‘Best Business Transformation Project’ category, Pethealth Insurance has transformed its claims processing system, enhancing customer engagement and reducing the time required to process and adjudicate claims.

With 10,000 claims submitted per month in North America, Pethealth Insurance needed to transform its claims process. Additionally there were multiple insurance products, each of which offered different rates and coverage that formed the basis for the claims being submitted – and added to the complexity of processing the claims. Using BP Logix Process Director BPM software, Pethealth Insurance created a streamlined system that would track costs, provide claims status at every point in the process and demonstrate compliance.

In the first 6 months of its deployment, the new claims processing system has reduced processing time by 70%, demonstrated a 65% customer adoption, a 55% reduction in claims-related call volumes and a 65% reduction in data entry. It further reduced duplicate data entry, duplicate claims submissions, and duplicate invoices by 100%. The streamlined solution aligns with Pethealth’s process improvement initiative and incorporates on-demand KPI reporting to better understand the needs of a changing business.

“We are pleased that Pethealth has been acknowledged as a finalist by Process Excellence (PEX) awards for its business transformation process,” commented Jay O’Brien, CEO of BP Logix. “Pethealth is an excellent example of a customer committed to not only transforming its processes, but also enhancing the customer experience. We are gratified that Process Director is the engine behind this transformation.”

Winners of the Process Excellence will be announced at the OPEX Week event held January 23-25th. For the full list of finalists in each category, visit http://www.processexcellencenetwork.com/awards.
