BP Logix AI Transparency Statement
Last updated on: January 23, 2026
At BP Logix, we believe in being transparent about how we use artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies in our products and services. This statement describes our current AI capabilities as of the date above. AI features and functionality may vary by deployment model and customer configuration. This statement is provided for informational purposes only. This statement is not a contract, warranty, or legally binding commitment. It supplements and does not replace our Privacy Policy or the terms of any agreement between BP Logix and its customers. The actual features, capabilities, and data handling practices applicable to your deployment are governed by your Master Services Agreement, Data Processing Addendum (if applicable), and related order forms. For information about how we collect, use, and protect personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
Our AI technologies
Current capabilities in Process Director
Process Director includes machine learning features that help organizations optimize their business processes:
- Predictive analytics: ML models that analyze historical process data to predict outcomes and identify bottlenecks.
- Intelligent routing: Algorithms that learn from past decisions to optimize workflow routing.
- Pattern recognition: Systems that identify trends and anomalies in process execution.
Coming soon: Pathfinder AI assistant (Opt-in)
Pathfinder is an optional AI-powered assistant built on Azure AI Foundry using OpenAI large language models (currently GPT-4 series). Pathfinder is available to cloud-hosted customers and is not available for on-premises deployments. The assistant operates in two modes:
Mode 1: Product navigation assistant
- Conversational help: Natural language interface powered by Azure AI Foundry using OpenAI large language models (currently GPT-4 series.
- Documentation-based responses: Answers drawn from official Process Director documentation using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
- Custom knowledge integration: Optional ability to include your organization’s specific documentation and procedures. Your documents are processed using your isolated instance of Azure OpenAI. Customer documents are logically partitioned and isolated from other customers’ data. BP Logix processes customer-provided documents solely to generate responses within your Pathfinder environment and does not use them for other purposes. Microsoft’s processing is subject to Azure OpenAI’s data handling commitments.
Mode 2: Document intelligence
- Customer document summarization: Process your internal documents (research publications, technical reports, etc.).
- Plain language translation: Convert complex technical content into accessible formats for different audiences.
- Industry-specific use cases: For life sciences customers — transform research publications and abstracts into internal summaries, draft sales enablement materials, or preliminary marketing concepts for further review and approval through appropriate regulatory processes.
How we use AI responsibly
Your data is your data
- No foundation model training: BP Logix does not use customer data to train or fine-tune foundation models. BP Logix does not fine-tune any foundation models. When using Azure OpenAI in the specific configuration BP Logix employs, Microsoft does not use customer data to train or improve its foundation models. Microsoft may process limited data for security monitoring, abuse detection, and service operations in accordance with Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service Data, Privacy, and Security documentation.
- Data isolation: Your organization’s data is designed to remain isolated within your deployment and is not shared with other customers.
- Ephemeral processing: Pathfinder is designed for ephemeral processing and does not persistently store conversation history or queries beyond what is necessary to provide responses within an active user session (typically concluded when you close the interface or after a period of inactivity). BP Logix may retain system logs and telemetry for security, support, and service improvement purposes as described in our Privacy Policy. Any retention of AI-generated outputs depends on user actions, such as downloading or saving content within their own systems.
Transparency and control
- Clear AI identification: We clearly label when you're interacting with AI-generated content.
- Human oversight: The system is designed to include human review options for AI suggestions and automation.
- Opt-in: For cloud-hosted customers, AI features are enabled by customer request and can be managed through administrative settings. On-premises deployments do not include generative AI capabilities.
Security and compliance
- Enterprise-grade security: All AI processing uses the same security standards as our core platform.
- Azure AI foundation: We leverage Microsoft Azure's responsible AI infrastructure
- Compliance framework: Our AI implementation is designed to operate within a framework that supports customer compliance efforts related to SOC2, CCPA, and similar requirements. Actual compliance is the customer’s responsibility and depends on configuration, use, and customer-specific circumstances.
Technology partners
Microsoft Azure AI
Pathfinder is built on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry using OpenAI GPT-4 models. For information about Microsoft Azure’s data handling practices, see Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service Data, Privacy, and Security documentation. Key aspects described by Microsoft include:
- Your data is processed according to Microsoft's AI commitments.
- Data is processed within your configured geographic region, subject to Microsoft Azure’s global infrastructure requirements for redundancy, backups, and service operations.
- When using Azure OpenAI in BP Logix’s configuration, Microsoft does not use customer data to train or improve foundation models. Microsoft may process data for operational purposes including security, abuse detection, logging, telemetry, and service operations as described in Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Data, Privacy, and Security documentation.
- Enterprise-grade security and compliance certifications apply.
Important limitations
AI capabilities and limitations
Pathfinder is designed to:
- Assist with product navigation and understanding
- Suggest optimizations based on patterns
- Accelerate routine tasks
Pathfinder is not designed to:
- Make autonomous decisions without human review
- Replace human judgment in critical processes
- Provide deterministic or error-free predictions or suggestions
Accuracy and reliability
- AI-generated content may contain errors, including generating plausible-sounding but inaccurate information (sometimes called ‘hallucinations’). All AI outputs should be reviewed and verified by qualified personnel before being relied upon, particularly for critical business, legal, regulatory, or safety-related decisions.
- Predictive models generate probabilistic outputs that may vary based on input and context
- Performance may vary based on data quality and quantity
- Output quality depends on input quality: The accuracy and usefulness of Pathfinder’s responses depend on the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the documentation and data you provide.
Human oversight required
Pathfinder is designed to assist users, not replace human judgment. Do not rely solely on AI-generated content for critical decisions. Users remain responsible for reviewing, verifying, and making final determinations regarding any AI-assisted outputs. Pathfinder is not a substitute for professional expertise, including legal, medical, regulatory, or other specialized advice.
