On-Demand Cloud Solution Provides Business Agility and Automation for Global Leader
San Diego, Ca — September 28, 2011 — BP Logix, a developer of BPM software that accelerates time-to-value, today announced that Rentokil Initial plc, one of the world’s largest providers of business services, has selected Process Director/Cloud Edition. Seeking to centralize its capital expenditure approval process (CapEx) across European operations, Rentokil Initial identified a need for technology that could overlay process control within the organization. Determined to work more collaboratively across 16 countries to create a more orderly process, Rentokil Initial turned to BP Logix to automate and manage its CapEx expenditures.
Delivering on the promise of rapid deployment and cost savings, while also providing the desired process improvements, Rentokil Initial entered into a Proof of Concept with Process Director/ Cloud Edition. Upon completing the pilot and being satisfied with its results, the company then deployed the product throughout its European Initial Textiles and Hygiene division.
In addressing the business need for more visibility into its CapEx process, Chris Broe, Group CIO for Rentokil Initial, sought a tool that would incorporate workflow, business logic and reporting. Over the course of two months his team, comprised of representatives from IT, business units and a number of country representatives, reviewed competitive products. They worked closely with their systems integrator, reviewed Gartner’s Magic Quadrant and conducted an internal evaluation.
With the goal of increasing visibility into both its current and forecasted spend, as well as creating a more intelligent, automated approval process, Broe’s team weighed the company’s needs and priorities. They then chose to implement a pilot program with a Cloud-based solution to determine if it would satisfy the needs of their business users. “As an IT support group, we offer our business colleagues choices. The decision to select Process Director/Cloud Edition was made by the Divisional CFO, as the prototype of the CapEx process worked to his satisfaction. From an IT perspective we were also genuinely pleased with the pilot,” stated Broe.

Process Director/Cloud Edition enables business users to review historical and current data related to business processes, understand the implication of activities in running processes and to instantly implement corrective action to overcome a pending problem, if one is present. Process Director/Cloud Edition fuses traditional workflow automation with the BP Logix Process Timeline™. As a result, it enables process builders to specify dependencies and conditions, determine the planned duration of a process, and define the order for all activities within the process.
