OHIO HI-POINT STREAMLINES BUSINESS PROCESSES WITH BP LOGIX
Web-Based System Enables Company to Automate Forms, Improve Workflow
San Diego, CA – Nov 25, 2008 – BP Logix, a provider of web-based business process automation and reporting solutions, today announced that Ohio Hi-Point Career Center (OHP) has selected its eForms and workflow solution. OHP, a two-year career technical high school and adult learning center, expects to automate thirty five forms, create more reliable routing procedures and improve the organization’s workflow processes.
Historically the highest point in Ohio, Campbell Hill served as home base to the Bellefontaine Air Force Station. During the Cold War, personnel from the 664th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron manned the site. Ohio Hi-Point became a school district in 1970, when local and state officials created the Ohio Hi-Point Vocational-Technical District and appointed a nine-member board to govern operations. Ohio Hi-Point Joint Vocational School opened its doors to students in September 1974. In 1995, the school changed its name to Ohio Hi-Point Career Center. Today, OHP continues to provide quality career-technical and academic education programs to students from 14 partner school districts. OHP offers more than 30 career training programs, including satellite programs in areas such as aviation, supply chain management, management information technology, finance, teaching and agriculture, while also providing adult and continuing education programs.
John Case, Technical Coordinator at OHP, is responsible for the campus IT infrastructure that supports 125 staff members and approximately 1200 students. Case realized that he needed to automate many of the forms used at the Center and eliminate some of the human error that was inherent in their current electronic forms. He knew that OHP’s existing software program was unreliable and did not offer the built-in workflows he believed were necessary.
After assembling a technical committee to research product alternatives, Case’s committee short-listed four vendors. “We needed to streamline our processes, route forms more efficiently and reduce our paper consumption. It was quickly apparent to the Committee that BP Logix eForms appeared to be the product we needed,” said Case. The Committee selected BP Logix eForms after a proof of concept in which BP Logix converted OHP forms, demonstrated the interface and the workflow. The initial forms to be converted during implementation include Request for Absence, Accident/Incident Report, Attendance, Travel and Expenses and Discipline Referral forms.
Already proponents of technology, OHP is leading the way to more effectively accessing, monitoring and tracking information. “We are pleased that OHP has found immediate value in our eForms product,” commented Edward Skiko, CEO of BP Logix. “With BP Logix, OHP can address its workflow, electronic forms and business management requirements -- and streamline its processes,” he concluded.
