Understanding Business Processes

“Process Director eliminates the need for major process changes while it automates existing processes. And it does so without requiring either Development or IT resources to be involved.”

Today we are experiencing dramatic changes, as organizations around the world respond to a rapidly-changing global economy -- and environment. There is no doubt that the pace of technological change is faster, company fundamentals are being scrutinized more closely, product cycles are shrinking, global competition is growing -- and there is an intense pressure to create, launch and improve products more quickly than ever before. In this on-demand, high-availability world, success requires a coordinated effort among internal departments and suppliers. It also means a tighter alignment of company goals and objectives.

To achieve the results, organizations must leverage, apply and more effectively integrate the information they receive. As these global companies also seek to align the technology they license with their business processes, many are starting to deploy Business Process Management (BPM) systems.

Business process management focuses on aligning organizations with the wants and needs of their “clients,” both internal and external. BPM promotes business effectiveness and efficiency -- while striving for innovation, flexibility and integration. It relies on understanding how ”human-driven” processes can be made more effective and efficient.

Solutions that Address Today's Needs

The technology environment of today has never been more dynamic – nor the flow of information more important. It is both the flow of information, and the processes to which that information is tied, that determine a company’s success in these volatile times. That is the foundation for business process management.

BP Logix has a vision for its BPM products: to deliver solutions that provide the critical data needed to run businesses more effectively and efficiently. Our solutions empower business users by providing an infrastructure that encompasses workflow, document management, life-cycle management and collaboration with a strong understanding of business and IT roles. And we do so without breaking the bank.

Our mission is to ensure greater agility and visibility into business processes, increasing efficiency and enhancing a company’s competitiveness. While getting started in BPM may sound simple and easy – getting it right can be another story. At BP Logix we get it right. By listening to our customers and prospects we eliminate the need for a major ‘process change’ at the same time they are undertaking automation. Our products automate existing processes – and we do so without requiring either Development or IT resources to be involved. Instead, BP Logix gives business users the control by providing intuitive, easy-to-use software that delivers on its promise.

The key components of our solution include a graphical workflow builder, Wordbased eForm builder, graphical business rules engine and the ability to integrate with Excel. And we do all this without requiring advanced IT or programming resources. Our bottom line: BP Logix products help our customers work together more effectively by improving productivity, increasing efficiency and accelerating information flow.

Our Areas of Focus

For the last eight years, BP Logix has focused on providing a business process management software solution that incorporates collaboration and managing information flow at its core. We then combined our knowledge of the way people handle traditional documents and began addressing the need to automate those documents. In response to customer needs, we subsequently began to provide and manage electronic forms, then to address workflow, review and approval of their documents. At each step of the way, we were aware of the underlying business processes – and committed to helping business users manage and control the processes and information easily and intuitively.

Today BP Logix products embrace workflow, electronic forms, document management, collaboration -- and integration with on-demand applications. We understand the needs of Human Resources, IT, Purchasing, Accounting and Finance for better visibility into business processes -- and how to translate that for business users.

How do we do this? It’s as easy as one, two, three. First, we empower business users to create, maintain and update business rules. Second, we apply these business rules to automated workflows. (Once created, these business rules can be re-used in other applications.) Third, we measure operational effectiveness and productivity to ensure that the new process works correctly. We deploy technology that improves existing processes while delivering practical solutions.

Building relationships between documents, understanding the workflow between groups of users, appreciating the time-sensitivity associated with routing and approval of documents –those are the drivers behind our software. Serving our customers and helping them become more effective and efficient guide our development efforts.

The time is right for business process management – and BPM that works the way users work. At BP Logix, we add business intelligence to business processes. That’s what enables BP Logix to direct, drive, and automate your business processes.
